Iain oversees operations, risk and regulatory oversight for SWIX in the UK, holding FCA Senior Management Functions (SMF16 & SMF17).
He brings over two decades of experience across buy-side infrastructure, with senior roles spanning operations, finance, compliance and treasury.
Most recently, he served as CFO and Chief Compliance Officer at SONA Asset Management, where he helped scale the platform from USD 300m to over USD 13bn across private debt, structured credit and CLO strategies, overseeing finance, compliance and operational infrastructure.
His background includes leadership roles at Oceanwood Capital, ENA Investment Capital and Selwood Asset Management, with direct responsibility for fund launches, platform build-outs and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
He has served as director across fund vehicles and management companies, with responsibility for governance, risk oversight and operational integrity.
At SWIX, he is responsible for the firm’s operating framework, risk architecture and control environment.
Outside of work, he is active in CrossFit (Level 1 Trainer) and plays guitar in a live band.
